The Proxi-Mate systems were developed by Peter Truman, a qualified mental health nurse (BN, Grad Dip Psych) who understands both your needs as a carer and what is practical within the industry. Peter is also qualified in electronics and is an accredited member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers.

Ten years ago, Peter knew there had to be a better way to reduce the risks of falls occurring and the first Proxi-Mate unit was invented. Since then, his passion has grown the concept into an industry proven fall prevention system.

At Assistive Technologies, we are focused on providing the highest level of service to customers and users of Proxi-Mate products. Based in Wynyard, Tasmania, the team travels Australia wide to promote the benefits of fall prevention and the simplicity and effectiveness of the Proxi-Mate solutions.
